Valentine’s Weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend! I have to say, through my life, Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite days. I know that all the flowers, candy, balloons, and stuffed animals can be a little overwhelming, but there is something fun and girly about the day! As a kid who’s birthday falls on January 23rd, my party was always close to February and so I remember making lots of “Valentine” themed gift bags for my birthday. And, I love my birthday, so I think Valentine’s brings the nostalgia of my birthday parties as a kid! As I look back on all the Valentine’s Days I have had, some of my favorites have been spent with some of my girl friends making heart shaped pancakes, drinking pink mimosas, and watching chick flicks! All the while we would talk about boys we liked or didn’t like and just have fun hanging together! Don’t get me wrong, it is great to have a forever Valentine! Aaron is one of my favorite people and I love spending the day with him as well! I guess my point is that Valentine’s Day can be fun no matter who you spend it with… your girls or your guy!
