The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
Anyone else take a book wherever they go? I was sitting in my OB’s office for my six week follow up appointment with The Silent Patient in hand. I had just started it in the waiting room. With about 20 pages under my belt, it had already fully pulled me in!

When my OB walked into the room she said, “Oh, that’s funny! I just pulled that book off my shelf to read.” How is it. Even though I had only ready a handful of pages, I told her I could already tell it’s going to be a good one. I have to say, it really was amazing!
The Silent patient was a book I couldn’t put down from the very beginning. It only took days to read. The book is told from the perspective of a woman’s diary and her phsychotherapist. The patient, Alicia Berenson was a famous painter married to a fashion photographer. One day, the photographer, Gabriel, arrives home late. The police show up to the scene and Gabriel is dead, Alicia looks guilty, but she never speaks a word.
This book is told from the perspective of Alicia’s diary and the perspective of the psychotherapist. The two perspectives come together to unfold the whole truth. The truth is something I didn’t see coming. This mystery is definitely worth the read. You will love it!
