Shane + Kim’s White Rock Engagement

It all started as a set up and Kim didn’t even know. Their mutual friend Nick was throwing Shane a going away party, and he invited Kim and her friends. Nick had already told Shane all about this amazing girl he was inviting to the party, unbeknownst to Kim. Kim and Shane hit it off right from the beginning! The only set back was that Shane was leaving for a trip to Europe and after that he was moving to Savannah, GA. After moving, Shane came back to Dallas to visit. Distance was not going to keep him from seeing Kim. They decided after a few dates that they simply had to date, even if it was long distance. They did the long distance thing for a couple years, including Shane’s deployment to Afghanistan.

When Kim was accepted into an Orthodontic residency, Shane decided to relocate to the Dallas area so they could continue to date and no longer be separated. After dating a couple more years, they went to San Diego on a vacation with Shane’s family. They were hiking Torrey Pines Trail and when the reached the top of the cliff, overlooking the ocean, Shane got down on one knee and asked Kim to marry him! They are so excited to celebrate with all of their family and friends!
