It has been awhile since I have blogged. I have fallen behind as I my business is growing and I just can’t help but to be thankful for couples like John and Gigi for keeping me going! They are so sweet and they are so in love. Photographing two people who love each other as much as these two reminds me of why I got into taking photos in the first place. These are memories they will have for a lifetime, and I am honored to be a part of it.
Through a mix of friends and technology, John and Gigi were destined to meet. When John saw Gigi walking up the stairs to a rooftop bar, he thought to himself “please be her”. Well, it was. Simple as that. John wen to shake her hand, and she countered it with a hug. They spent the entire night talking to each other about everything under the sun… music, religion, politics, tigers, family and robots. This was only the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
When it came tim to propose, John planned a whole day for Gigi. Having had a difficult month with her restaurant, she thought that John was just being his sweet self. They started at a crawfish boil with friends, enjoyed a couples massage, and then got ready for an evening at Gigi’s favorite restaurants in Dallas. Trying not to let the nerves take over, John asked the waitress to take a photo (she was really filming the proposal) and he handed Gigi a note. As soon as she finished reading his kind words, he proposed and of course she said yes! Her friend was hiding in the back of the restaurant taking photos and then they went back to his place to celebrate with family and friends! What a great proposal!
