Ed and Sara are two college sweethearts who were destined to fall in love.
As soon as Ed knew Sara was the one, he bought a ring and held onto it waiting for the perfect moment to propose. Ed is a surgical resident but whenever he had time off, he and Sara would go explore the area around Seattle. One day they ventured to Puget Sound and landed in a little town called Port Ludlow, where they stayed in a yurt. They spent the day taking the fairy over, hiking, and even visiting a few wineries. When they arrived at the yurt, they realized there was a private beach. Sara found herself buried in a book and Ed paddle boarded out on the water. After a full day, they headed out for some Mexican food and Ed suggested getting wine and s’mores on the way back to the yurt so the two of them could enjoy a fire on the beach. Ed left Sara by the fire to get more wine and wood and when he returned, he surprised her with a ring… inside an oyster! The rest is history.
Sara and Ed are two of the sweetest people I have ever met! I really have had so much fun getting to know them and it was truly an honor to photograph their wedding! They were married at The Brooks at Weatherford, a beautiful outdoor venue in Texas with the perfect white chapel with yellow stained glass windows. Rachel with Sarabeth Events made sure every detail was perfectly planned, and I absolutely LOVED the florals for this ceremony by Justine’s Flowers.
