Captivating: Beauty to Unveil

Captivating -1

Women’s greatest desire is to be seen as beautiful just as a guys greatest desire is to know he is enough. I loved reading Stasi’s words in this chapter because they articulated exactly what beauty is. It is not striving for the perfect body, or having our nails perfectly polished every month. These are things that we know are not how the Lord judges beauty. We have all read those verses. However, it was so neat to read that experience and sharing of your heart make you beautiful. When you allow the Lord to be glorified by sharing the works that he has done, by opening your heart and by spending time in His word and with other believers, you are made even more beautiful.

“The only thing standing in the way of our beauty are our doubts and fears, and the hiding and striving we fall to as a result.”

In this world, it is so easy to fall into the trap of hiding our thoughts or the works that the Lord has done so that other people don’t see us and draw unwanted conclusions. It is easy to make the outside of us look more beautiful. But, it is definitely more important to spend time making our hearts beautiful. And, to spend time with others and share what God is doing in our lives. This is inviting to other women.

“A women how is unveiling her beauty is inviting others to life.”

We recently wrapped up a women’s bible study in our Life Group and I have to say that I felt encouraged to share what the Lord was doing in my life as I listened to others in the group also share their experiences. I feel like in being real and vulnerable with each other we were able to come together and help each other unveil our beauty, cultivate our beauty and grow together.
